Deadpool & Wolverine had a hidden reference to Spider-Man that you probably missed, though to be fair it was only for about a second or two.
The Deadpool & Wolverine film has quickly become one of the most successful Marvel films to date, with a sequel already on the cards and hopefully a spin-off for one of its most hyped characters.

However while plenty of cameos and references were staring viewers straight in the face, there were a few that were a bit more subtle.

One of which was a reference to Tobey Maguire’s first Spider-Man film from all the way back in 2002, in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment.
After Deadpool successfully finds his replacement Wolverine following a hilarious universe-hopping montage full of cameos, the pair are sent to the Void, which fans of the Loki TV series will know quite well.
As you’d expect, Wolverine is quite annoyed by this and the two start scrapping even though both are essentially immortal.
During the fight scene, they perfectly recreate the choreography from the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man film, from the scene where Flash Thompson attempts to beat up Peter Parker, as our hero effortlessly dodges the onslaught with his spider-senses.

It’s a great scene in that film, and a wonderful reference in Deadpool & Wolverine, especially since there are very few Spider-Man references aside from that one.
In an interview with Ryan Reynolds on the merc-with-a-mouth’s new home in the MCU, the actor was asked which other heroes he’d love to see Deadpool interact with, and of course Reynolds replied with Spider-Man at the top of his list.
Whether the two get a chance to interact in future Avengers films, or perhaps even their own buddy-cop film, remains to be seen, but I’m sure it’s something a lot of fans would like to see, including myself.
