Marvel fans lose it over Deadpool & Wolverine Spider-Man tease

Marvel fans lose it over Deadpool & Wolverine Spider-Man tease

Deadpool and Spidey together? Yes please!

We inch ever closer to the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, and with it comes more teasers that leave the fandom spiralling.

From wild post-credit scenes, to simply the joy of seeing Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on-screen together, this Marvel outing promises a lot.

And now, perhaps, it’s hinting at a crossover that would light up social media like a Christmas tree.

In a newly released teaser trailer, we see a whole host of moments that only serve to increase our excitement way past eleven. We’re practically ready to explode.

While a brief glimpse of Lady Deadpool has fans wondering who the woman behind the mask is, most are more concerned with a brief Deadpool hand gesture.

Here's another Deadpool & Wolverine trailer to whet your appetite

During a car ride with his number one bae (that’s Wolverine, in case you’ve not been paying attention), Deadpool does the Spider-Man THWIP move.

This, coupled with director Shawn Levy’s remarks about wanting a “Deadpool and Spidey” crossover has led some to believe that time is upon us.

We might get nothing more than a mention of everybody’s favourite neighbour spider, or we might get something more concrete to tell us that a film starring both heroes is on the way.

Honestly, at this stage it doesn’t even matter because that one gesture has whipped the fandom into a frenzy.

“This just makes me want a Spider-Man/Deadpool crossover movie even more,” posted one Twitter account.

Another said, “Deadpool knows about Spider-Man,” before asking, “Will it be Tobey’s?”

Having seen all three previous Spidey’s on-screen together, this raises an important question over which one would star in a crossover film.

Logic dictates it would be Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as he’s the most recent actor to wear the suit, but with a whole multiverse available it could be anyone.

With Deadpool & Wolverine coming to theatres from 26 July, we don’t have long to wait before we see mayhem, hilarity, and maybe more teasers on the big screen.
