Marvel fans lose it over Deadpool 4 tease

Marvel fans lose it over Deadpool 4 tease

It's a no brainer to get this pairing back together

It may be too strong a statement to say that Deadpool & Wolverine ‘saved’ the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it certainly contributed to the turn around in its fortunes.

You see, The Multiverse Saga was paling in comparison to its predecessor, The Infinity Saga, despite introducing us to some fantastic new characters.

Why? Well Kang was a lacklustre villain that very few of us felt invested in.

For me, the character’s variants had rid him of any sense of intrigue or threat.

When Thanos finally surfaced outside of a post-credits scene, that moment had been earned.

Kang, on the other hand, showed his cards way too soon - and, of course, the situation only soured further when the allegations against actor Jonathan Majors came to light.

It’s also worth pointing out that The Multiverse Saga has been without a major event film, like an Avengers team-up.

That is until the release of Deadpool & Wolverine which united two fan-favourite characters.

ICYMI: Thunderbolts* is set to launch next year. Take a look at the film’s trailer below.

Deadpool & Wolverine did something that the MCU hasn’t been able to do in years - it generated hype, and the box office figures reflect that.

This timed nicely with Marvel’s unveiling of the saga’s new big bad, Doctor Doom, portrayed by none other than Robert Downey Jr.

Once again, there’s a renewed sense of interest in the MCU.

Hype doesn’t fall flat anymore - you can feel a buzz surrounding upcoming projects.

With all of that in mind, it’s no surprise that Marvel and Disney are reportedly keen to get Wolverine and Deadpool back together once more.

According to leaker MyTimeToShineH, Deadpool 4 is already being discussed with both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman interested in returning.

Of course, I’d urge you to take this with a pinch of salt until anything is confirmed by Marvel.

That being said, this feels far more like a logical (and likely) guess more so than insider knowledge.

After all, we all heard that joke: “See you in 2058”.
