It seems that Marvel fans are preparing for a “soulless” Phase 7 of the MCU as it may involve several massive crossover properties.
Fair to say, the MCU has been struggling lately after reaching the epic heights of Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
In the defence of Marvel and Disney, it was always going to be a big challenge to sustain the emotional intensity that the Infinity Saga had to offer.

Check out the Thunderbolts* trailer below!
We know that the MCU isn't everyone’s cup of tea but for many Marvel fans, the Infinity Saga provided a rollercoaster of emotions that few movie properties could rival.
We're now coming to the end of Phase 5 which will conclude with Thunderbolts* on 2 May 2025.

When we move into Phase 6, we can expect to enjoy the likes of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man 4 and Avengers: Secret Wars.
But what's due to land in Phase 7? Could we finally get the Avengers and X-Men to join forces?
Well, it seems that some Redditors are preparing for a “soulless” Phase 7 of the MCU that includes the Omniverse which has universes from all properties, including those outside of Marvel.
In a nutshell, the Omniverse includes DC, IDW, Dark Horse, and many more entertainment powerhouses.

It even includes every other TV and movie series that ever existed.
“Prediction: Phase 7 and beyond will build up to the Omniverse,” said Ok-Ingenuity9833.
“So, this is a decade early prediction but after the multiverse, I believe Phase 7 will lead to the Omniverse, a place where different multiverses exist. This will lead to the most epic and soulless Hollywood cash grabs fathomable,” they continued.
“The nerd in me wants the full ending of the MCU to be a crossover with DC and combine Secret Wars/Crisis on Infinite Earths together and have the MCU, DCU, DCEU, Arrowverse, Fox, Sony, etc all together but that’s just a pipe dream,” said NASCAR142002.

“This would be very intriguing, but I don’t think Disney is going to want to fork over money for IP deals. Spider-Man alone seemed like enough of a headache to make work at times,” reddituser6213 claimed.
“Marvel vs DC movies would get close to four billion box office dollars,” said MrVedu_FIFA.
I suppose in a way, we’ve already had an epic crossover similar to this in the 2018 movie from Steven Spielberg, Ready Player One, an adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel. Speaking of which, where’s the movie sequel?
I must say, as epic as the Omniverse might sound, I think it would be a total train wreck - especially when it comes to Marvel and DC when they can't agree on which hero or villain could beat up who.
