All eyes are on Marvel over the coming months, as we edge closer to finally seeing our MCU X-Men, and hopefully some solid casting choices.
While it’s likely we’ve not yet seen the last of the X-Men from the 20th Century Fox era, as cameos in the upcoming Avengers films seem certain, Marvel will be looking for actors to step in as mutants pretty soon.
The last we saw Wolverine, he was causing chaos with Deadpool
Fans have been optimistically casting the roles themselves in the hopes they get one right, and the latest feels almost perfect.

Actor Matt Wood has been selected by many fans as an ideal candidate to play Wolverine, and a tweet explains why.
“He'd be phenomenal : Unknown, 5' 7, apparently 33 years old, ticks all the boxes. All bro needs is a six-pack,” reads the tweet.
I’d argue he doesn’t even need a six-pack, he’s a solid slab of muscle, and in the image shown he could easily play the iconic mutant.
Wolverine has always been linked with Hugh Jackman, and we’ll likely see another outing for him, but it’s time for the MCU to get some fresh blood.

Some would argue we don’t need a man to step in, when Dafne Keen is right there, but if Marvel want to go with the traditional look, Wood might do an amazing job.
In the replies to the tweet, fans are onboard with this bit of casting, with one saying, “He’s 100% perfect.”
Whoever gets the role is going to be locked in with Marvel for years - to quote Deadpool, “they’re gonna make him do this til he’s 90.”
Hopefully they choose well, because fans have their own ideas, and while Wood joked that he might not be the right fit, he has to be in Marvel’s sights.
