The role of Black Panther has been hotly debated over the past few years, with fans unsure how Marvel will guide the hero going forward.
Shortly after Avengers: Endgame, the legendary Chadwick Boseman passed away after keeping his cancer diagnosis and treatment private, shocking the world and leaving MCU fans in mourning.

When the sequel rolled around, the mantle was passed on to Shuri, and Letitia Wright, but for the past couple of years, rumours have swirled that Marvel is seeking to recast Black Panther.
These rumours have recently been fuelled by Jeff Sneider, who appeared on The Hot Mic podcast, and discussed the future of the character.
In the discussion, Sneider hinted that the character of Black Panther will be played by T’Challa’s son, who was revealed at the end of the second film, born before Thanos’ snap.
Sneider was pressed on this topic, and he revealed that he believes Marvel have already begun approaching actors to step into the role.

“They're casting the son... They're casting the new Black Panther. I'm already sort of intimating who it was going to be,” said Sneider.
He continued, “They made an offer to an actor who is now a superhero elsewhere. And there will be a lot on that person's shoulders.”
T’Challa’s son was named Toussaint by Nakia, though when he introduces himself to Shuri he says, “My name is Prince T'Challa, son of King T'Challa.”
This would be a clever piece of writing from Marvel, as it would mean creating a legacy character, rather than recasting Boseman’s actual character.

Hopefully, this turns out to be true, as it gives fans more of Black Panther, while keeping Boseman’s portrayal intact and as a tribute to the actor.
