The Marvel Cinematic Universe feels empty without Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, and fans are looking for a replacement.
The MCU has been trying to replace him already, and there are plenty of heroes that could do the job like War Machine, Spider-Man, and of course Riri William, aka Ironheart.
Hopefully Riri Williams will step into the shoes as smoothly as Sam Wilson did with Captain America…
No one can live up to Tony Stark though, he had enough charisma to carry the film franchise on his back for years so the only solution is to find another Stark out there in the multiverse.

Fans have since got together to pitch ideas of who could take on the role following Robert Downey Jr’s departure from the character, as he’s since moved on to become the infamous supervillain Doctor Doom instead.
Some still aren’t willing to let him go just yet, as one fan jokingly said “Robert Downey Jr just got nominated for an Oscar. So maybe he will do a good job…”
More serious recommendations were “Timothy Olyphant, Matt Bomer, Tom Cruise or Pedro Pascal,” the latter of whom is already out as he’s now Mr Fantastic in Fantastic Four: First Steps.
As for the rest they’re all good shouts, Tom Cruise being a funny one as he was originally eyed for the role from the start, and has been notoriously been rumoured to play a variant of the character one day.

“The last image gives me Karl Urban vibes, so I'll say Karl Urban,” which again is a great shout, but personally I’m not sure if they could make it work.
Whoever puts on the suit of armour next, they’re going to struggle to follow Robert Downey Jr’s footsteps, but it would be interesting to see if any Iron Man variants do make an appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars, and how existing heroes in the MCU react to them.
