Marvel fans unite over the potential casing of the next Iron Man and we’re here for it.
I will be going into spoilers for 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, but if you haven't watched that movie yet, what have you been waiting for? Here’s the spoiler, Iron Man dies in Avengers: Endgame which was arguably the most heartbreaking moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far (sorry, Black Widow, you’re a close second).

Whoever fills the void that Tony Stark has left is most certainly a big task for any actor and the character that they portray. Some have suggested that Tom Holland's Spider-Man could become the new leader of the Avengers.

Moreover, the likes of Black Panther’s Shuri and the newly introduced MCU character Riri aka Iron Heart are also contenders to lead the way into the new age of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
However, with the MCU heavily leaning into multiverses, there’s a good chance that we could get a new Tony Stark played by a different actor. After all, all bets are now off with Robert Downey Jr. playing Dr. Victor von Doom.
“If Iron Man was one day recast, who would be able to portray him?” asked Redditor goofmeisterr and it seems that many believe that the iconic character may not be recast.

“I don't see them [Marvel and Disney] recasting anytime soon. So the next Iron Man actor is probably some kid that hasn't even started acting yet,” said HosterBlackwood.

“I always thought part of RDJ that made him perfect for Tony Stark was his real-life struggle with addiction. I think that would be hard to replace,” suggested a Reddit user.
“He perfectly captures the personality and makes him feel like a real person, on top of that it’s like someone looked at a picture of RDJ when they initially created Tony Stark,” Dangle76 replied.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Tony Stark character is recast at some point but I believe it could be a few years away. Robert Downey Jr. is 60 next year, we could very well be introduced to a young Iron Man to carry the MCU as RDJ did in 2008.
