The fact that Deadpool is now a firm fixture of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is something I have to remind myself from time to time.
There was a period when the family-friendly MCU wouldn’t have touched mature-rated content with a barge pole.
But that’s now changed, and the MCU is all the better for it if you ask me.

Daredevil: Born Again, for example, is arguably already one of the best MCU projects to debut in the Disney Plus era.
Deadpool isn’t simply a firm fixture of the MCU though, he also majorly revitalised it with Deadpool & Wolverine drawing people back to the box office last summer.
The film wasn’t a ‘fix all’, as the MCU is still experiencing some issues.
You need only look at the middling response to Captain America: Brave New World.

Deadpool & Wolverine certainly renewed interest in the franchise overall, however, and I daren’t say that Deadpool gained more than a few new fans in the process.
Thunderbolts* is the MCU’s next film.
Well, if you’re a Deadpool fan, you may want to check out this latest bit of merch for the character.

Hot Toys Collectibles has unveiled a new figurine, the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine - 1/6th scale Deadpool (Battling Version) Collectible Figure’ to be exact.
“As a faithful recreation of Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool appearance, the long-awaited 1/6th scale figure features a highly detailed Deadpool head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, a partially masked head and a fully masked head sculpt,” the figurine’s description reads.
“The three styles of head sculpt allow collectors to display with different authentic representations of Deadpool in the film. Additionally, based on the viral Deadpool opening scene, the figure comes with a set of Wolverine’s bones and an extra pair of Deadpool hands with claws for fans to pose with.”

It continues, “This Battling Version of Deadpool particularly features a battle-damaged suit with detailed weathering effects and includes his signature weapons like katanas, daggers and pistols, as well as a Time Door-themed diorama figure base.”
That sounds pretty epic, right?
“This is pure perfection,” one fan replied, while another remarked, “Damn, this one looks so good.”
Exact pricing is yet to be confirmed but I’d prepare yourselves as Hot Toys’ 1/6th figurines usually retail for somewhere in the region of £250 to £450.

We’re not talking cheap, basically.
Still, if you’re an avid collector, this may be a piece you want to acquire for your collection.
