Marvel fans have been discussing the fascinating concept of a wildly different Avengers team teased in a 2023 MCU movie.
Over the years, we’ve seen many iterations of the Avengers team in the world of Marvel Comics, and not just what we’ve seen so far in the MCU. That being said, as we get close to entering Phase 6 of the MCU, much of the Avengers team that we know and love will likely change in a big way.

However, when it comes to the traditional comic book format, the Marvel universe is now more expansive than it’s ever been from young and old Avengers team members to many others that come from a universe different to our own.

Up until recently, it felt like a pipe dream that we’d ever get the chance to see the X-Men and Fantastic Four team up with the Avengers in the MCU. Yet, just this week, that dream took one step closer to becoming a reality when the first full trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps dropped.
In the 2023 movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel franchises once part of 20th Century Studios were brought into the MCU, now that Disney owns all those rights. In that movie, Wolverine made a very interesting comment stating that Avengers exists in Wolverine’s worst universe.
That comment has sparked a discussion on Reddit by fascinated Marvel fans.
“It’s heavily implied in Deadpool & Wolverine, that the Avengers exist in the worst Wolverine’s universe, not to mention his line “F the Avengers.” It makes me curious as to what his relationship with them was like,” suggests phantom_avenger.

“If Hugh Jackman returns in the upcoming Avengers films, I hope they give some details on why he hates them,” they concluded.
“He’s usually in the middle of any mutant or X-Men vs Avengers conflict, so I'm guessing he just doesn’t play well with others once it gets too complicated,” replied EddieBlizario. “After all, Wolverine is loyal, so he would hate being caught in the middle and would just go Madripoor to avoid the conflict if he could but often trouble knocks at his door.”
“A big part of the perpetual conflict between the Avengers and the X-Men is that the Avengers are never around when mutants are being threatened or harmed by anti-mutant terror groups, but when normal humans are in danger, poof!, there they are,” explained BrightPerspective.
“He could hate them because they didn't help save the X-Men of his universe or he could just not like them,” said spilledmilkbro. “Either way, it's cool that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine acknowledged the Avengers.”

It remains to be seen whether we’ll get to see this version of the Avengers that Wolverine spoke of in Deadpool & Wolverine, and I’m surely not alone in saying that I hope we get to see it in the MCU one day.
