Marvel fans could soon be getting the news we’ve waited years for if an MCU 2026 rumour is to be believed.
One of the good things about the MCU is that Marvel Studios and Disney often make release schedules public so fans know what’s on the way and in what phase. Sure, release dates can change, but it’s nice to know when we can expect the likes of Avengers: Doomsday (1 May 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (7 May 2027).

For example, we know that the MCU Phase 6 begins with The Fantastic Four: First Steps on 25 July 2025 and that phase is currently scheduled to conclude with Avengers: Secret Wars.

However, as reported by ComicBookMovie.com (via Cosmic Circus), there appears to be at least one place reserved for one of two MCU movies yet to be officially announced, one of which could be released in November 2026 as part of Phase 6.
Cosmic Circus entertainment journalist and insider Alex Perez claims sources have informed that Shang-Chi 2 and Black Panther 3 are currently being considered by Marvel and Disney to release next year.
“When speaking to sources, Marvel was eyeing the November 2026 film to be a sequel; the two options being Black Panther 3 and Shang-Chi 2, with Black Panther 3 being the more likely of the duo,” Perez wrote but also stated that “[things] could have changed.”
At the time of writing, Spider-Man 4 (currently not its official title) is set to be released in July 2026 and is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. He is also the same director as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and will likely return to take charge of the sequel.

If it’s between Black Panther 3 and Shang-Chi 2, with Destin Daniel Cretton being busy with Spider-Man 4, it makes sense for Black Panther 3 to be most likely for a November 2026 launch.
The next MCU movie to be released in cinemas is Thunderbolts* on 2 May 2025.
