Marvel unveils our new Luke Cage for epic new series

Coming out of his Cage...

Think you know the character Luke Cage? Well, think again.

Marvel is changing things up in a new series starring the superhero.

It’s one of many alterations happening within Marvel right now, as the new face of the MCU has seemingly been found.

Not only is the MCU entering a new stage but so too are the comics, with rumours swirling about characters we love – like the latest teaser that Spidey might die.

What is Agatha up to in Agatha All Along?

Change isn’t only on the horizon for Spider-Man; speculation has it that Luke Cage is also going to undergo a transformation of sorts.

Power Man: Timeless is a new series starring Cage in which he’ll have his own abilities alongside those of the Hulk, Iron Fist, and Sentry.

This isn’t the first time Cage has had those powers, however, it’ll be the first time since the Timeless anthology that this version of the character has featured.

The limited series will be told across five issues.

“HE IS UNSTOPPABLE. INDESTRUCTIBLE. INCORRUPTIBLE. IMMORTAL. And utterly alone. He is Power Man,” reads the epic description.

“The god-slaying, Gamma-powered, Iron-Fisted, Sentry from the future Luke Cage arrives in the modern Marvel Universe, only to discover a foe, and a mystery, that will challenge even his incredible abilities!”

With Cage returning in the comics, fans are wondering if we’ll get another live-action instalment.

It’s definitely something Luke Cage's actor, Mike Colter, is game for.

When discussing the new Daredevil series, Colter said, “I would love to explore it, if they found some story, some way, somewhere, to take it.

“And I'm happy that Charlie Cox and those are getting it rebooted, but I don't have any [idea if Luke Cage is getting rebooted]. I'm not holding anything back.”

Even if that never happens, at least we get to see Luke Cage crashing back into the action via the comics.
