Marvel fans are hyped at the prospect of a new leading figure in the MCU whose era could span the next 10 years.
When it comes to a vast choice of charismatic heroes and villains, it doesn't get much bigger than those provided by the likes of Marvel and DC in the world of comic books. We’ve also seen many of our favourite charismatic characters adapted into live-action over the years to a varying degree of success.
Check out the Agatha All Along trailer below!
In 2024, we were treated to the Disney Plus series, Agatha All Along, a spin-off to 2021’s WandaVision. I think it’s fair to say that the quality of Agatha All Along caught many MCU fans by surprise and now they are really hoping we’ll get season two in some shape or form.

One of its leading characters, initially known as the “teen”, soon evolved into an important figure when we had confirmation of his true identity.
Before I proceed, I am about to venture into spoilers for Agatha All Along, so please consider this to be your warning.
The teen’s identity in Agatha All Along was revealed to be William "Billy" Kaplan-Altman aka Wiccan, one of two twin sons of Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch. The other twin, not seen in Agatha All Along, is Tommy Shepherd aka Speed.
However, the actor who played Billy in Agatha All Along is a different actor from the one in WandaVision, for a good reason.

The final episode of Agatha All Along very much teased that we’re going to get more of Billy (played by Joe Locke) but whether that’s in season two or something else entirely, remains to be seen.
While many Marvel fans are looking forward to seeing more of Billy (and hopefully Tommy), as is the way of the world, not everyone is pleased, which led to a polite rant by a Redditor.
“I'm sorry if someone needs to hear this, but Billy is one and will continue to be, one of the main characters in the next decade of the MCU,” exclaimed Asuru.
“I'm tired of seeing every minute a Billy/Joe hate comment, not necessarily here in this sub, but in MANY places. He is the son of the Scarlet Witch, he is powerful as heck.”

Asuru then went on to make very valid points about how much of an important character Billy is in Marvel Comics which will more than likely transcend over to the MCU.
“Wait, people hate Billy? How and why?” asked tehbggg. “He's the most interesting character to be introduced to MCU since Spider-Man.”
“I, for one, am very happy to see Joe Locke get his flowers. What a solid guy,” said d0mini0nicco.
“He is fantastic - both the character and the actor,” replied a Reddit user. “I said to my husband several times ‘Damn that Joe Locke kid can act’. It was a great origin story and my only complaint is that it stole a smidge of the spotlight from the rest of the coven.”

To be fair, much of that Reddit thread is full of nice comments, which is great to see. That being said, the internet is full of different opinions, as the world is and should be. Within reason, it’s all about personal preferences, and favourite heroes and villains are no exception.
You can watch the entire MCU saga, including WandaVision and Agatha All Along on Disney Plus right now.
