Xbox’s new free RPG is a massive hit, and we can see why

Xbox gamers are praising a new RPG that you can play right now on Game Pass.

There are hundreds of games that you can play in an instant on Xbox Game Pass, whether it’s big AAAs, indie darlings or retro classics. Sometimes there’s so much choice, it can be a pain knowing where to start.

Check out the Atomfall trailer below!

However, one game in particular that comes highly recommended by critics and fans alike is a new action RPG developed and published by Rebellion Developments, called Atomfall.

In our review of Atomfall, we said: “It’s one of the best games I’ve played this year for sure, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a compelling, narrative adventure game. It’s not a British Fallout knock-off, it’s something much more than that and it has serious potential to become a series.”

Gamers on Reddit have also been praising Atomfall, despite some reports of an audio bug, which will hopefully be fixed soon (if not already by the time you’re reading this).

“This is a perfect Game Pass game. If Xbox can get one of these smaller AA games released once per month in between big releases and a spattering of indie games, then I see no reason to ever unsubscribe,” said TransomBob.

Atomfall is seriously good. I love that the firearms are semi-realistic in that a .22lr headshot is fatal,” replied pvtpotatogamingyt.

“It's really good. I like that your player feels like somewhat of a badass, while not being too good. Very reminiscent of older games, rather than having you start as a milksop that dies to a level two mob or whatever,” explained Paradox.

Atomfall is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. So you should check it out if you subscribe to either tier.
