Marvel unveils our new Moon Knight for new R-rated series

Marvel unveils our new Moon Knight for new R-rated series

Moon Knight the zombie slayer

Marvel has unveiled its brand new Moon Knight in the upcoming Disney Plus series that will be part of Phase 6 of the MCU.

The Moon Knight live-action series graced us with its presence in 2022 and by most accounts, this MCU production was a hit with Marvel fans on the streaming platform, Disney Plus. Well, at least judging by its Rotten Tomatoes scores of 86% from critics and 88% from the audience.

Check out the Moon Knight trailer below!

Sadly, despite its positive reception, we don't know for sure whether Oscar Isaac will be returning as the live-action Moon Knight. All we can do right now is have our fingers crossed and pray to the Marvel and Disney gods.

However, as tweeted by the Twitter account, DiscussingFilm, Moon Knight is coming back to Disney Plus, just perhaps not as what many fans would have assumed. Moon Knight is appearing in the upcoming animated series Marvel Zombies but this time, it will be the vampire-turned-zombie slayer, Blade, who will be donning the white cape.

Unfortunately, it’s not known whether Mahershala Ali will be the voice of Blade in the animated series. At the time of writing, Mahershala Ali is set to play Blade in the live-action movie but it seems that the production is stuck in limbo.

We do know that Iman Vellani will return as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel and hopefully, even more names will be revealed in the coming months.

Other than that, we don't know much else about Marvel Zombies other than the snippet seen in a recent ‘Look Ahead’ trailer for Disney Plus. If reports are to be believed, Marvel Zombies will stumble onto Disney Plus sometime in October 2025.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn new information on the highly anticipated R-rated series.
