Two currently untitled MCU films are slated to release in 2027, and fans are going wild trying to figure out exactly what Disney has in store.
As detailed in a report by Variety’s Adam B. Vary, Disney moved a few things around on their release schedule back in August.
Alongside setting release dates for Avengers: Doomsday, Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Disney also revealed that two untitled Marvel films are now scheduled to release in 2027 on the 23rd of July and the 5th of November.

Naturally, fans are desperate to figure out which unconfirmed MCU titles might be filling these slots. In a Reddit thread on r/comicbookmovies, several people have thrown in their two cents as they try to collectively decipher Disney’s new schedule.
“Those are certainly going to be x-men centric movies, yeah?” theorised user Rigb0n3710, with another user named friendoffuture chiming in to reply “Maybe, but they're definitely going to be Battleworld movies!”
User Gormogone also replied, stating that they were certain that “one of these is Shang chi 2 right?”
“July 23 is Spiderman 4, mark my words!” commented user Bo3z, which unfortunately is one of the only picks that definitely won’t be true.

As revealed a few days ago (sorry Bo3z, your comment was just a little too early), Spider-Man 4 is eyeing a July 2026 release date - hot off the heels of Avengers: Doomsday.
It’s possible one of the slots might be the upcoming Blade film, as it was recently revealed that it won’t be coming out in 2025 as it was previously scheduled.
Alternatively, I think Shang-Chi 2 is a good bet. News of its follow-up has been pretty light, but the first film was a critical and financial success. Disney is almost definitely planning to revisit it, and it’s more of a matter of when than if at this point.
