It’s been a quiet year for Marvel so far as its cinematic output is concerned.
However, the future is set to be a busy one as Marvel has officially announced three more MCU adventures.
By now, we all know that the beginning of a new MCU is dawning.

It’s been on the cards for some time, but after this brief hiatus while Marvel plans ahead, the end of the MCU we recognise today is nigh.
As for what these three new films involve, that really is anyone’s guess.

Even though Marvel has announced that they’re happening, it’s been sparse on details save certain dates throughout 2028.

Speculation is all we can offer at this point, however, that doesn’t mean it’s unfounded.
Allow us to explain.
The first date that’s been claimed is February 2028. If this is true, the next film will launch roughly a year after the release of Avengers: Secret Wars.
This ideally sets up the stage for a secondary dramatic saga to unfold, possibly involving Shang-Chi.

Of course, we could also see a Hulk centred film, seeing how other Hulk variations are starting to make their way into the MCU, like Red Hulk.
Next on Marvel’s mysterious 2028 schedule is a film in early May.
Hyped fans are wondering if that will be the time when an X-Men reboot will finally happen. It’s been heavily hinted at, yet little in the way of an actual reboot has been seen thus far.
The seeds have been sown, with 2028 looking like the year they will grow.

Finally, we come to the latter end of 2028; the November slot.
There are two theories regarding what MCU film might appear here.
Some believe it’ll be a sequel to Black Panther 2, while others anticipate a third Doctor Strange release. Both are valid and logical options.
With Black Panther’s story soon transitioning over to TV as well, it’s possible that Marvel is paving the way for a large cinematic conclusion to neatly tie both mediums together.

As for Doctor Strange, given the events of Multiverse of Madness, the door has been left open for more multiversal antics.
Some fans believe this should be addressed before Avengers: Secret Wars, however, much has changed since the second Doctor Strange film was released.
We’re still no closer to knowing definitive details, however, at least we can see the threads that Marvel might follow more clearly after hearing this news.
