Marvel officially brings back Deadpool for new movie following MCU success

Marvel officially brings back Deadpool for new movie following MCU success

The Merc with a Mouth is back

Just a few months after the blockbuster release of Deadpool & Wolverine, the Merc with a Mouth is back in an official Marvel release.

Hitting cinemas back in July, Deadpool & Wolverine quickly became one of the most successful movie releases of the year.

Check out the official trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine below!

As Marvel’s latest movie release, the film saw Ryan Reynolds reprise his role as Deadpool and was joined by Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Not only that but the movie featured cameos from some familiar faces, such as Wesley Snipes’ Blade, so it is perhaps no wonder that it quickly broke blockbuster records.

Now just three months on and Deadpool is back with his first on-screen appearance since Deadpool & Wolverine.

In a brand-new release, Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) recently made an appearance in the LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition streaming special.

Seen during the special’s title credits and voiced by Jason Mantzoukas (Invincible), the cameo shows the Merc with a Mouth run into frame as the credits start to roll.

Seemingly late to the party, Deadpool is less than pleased to learn he has missed the action and it isn’t long before he is escorted back off screen by a LEGO She-Hulk.

It is not long before the pair start fighting, with Wade asking various names featured in the credits for help in his typical style of breaking the fourth wall.

The scrap finally ends and Deadpool is wheeled away by She-Hulk and the credits for Mission Demolition resume as normal.

This marks the second time that Deadpool has officially appeared in a Marvel project in 2024.

Who knows when we will stumble upon him next?

Well, it could be fairly soon as Ryan Reynolds recently posted a selfie of himself wearing the Deadpool costume and standing in front of a very festive looking background.

Could this be a Christmas special or something as simple as an ad? Hopefully we will find out soon.
