The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to change forever after Avengers: Secret Wars, as the X-Men will finally be introduced.
While it’s anyone’s guess what the line-up is going to look like, a new tease might have just implied the first on-screen team-up will take place in 2028.
We’ve got plenty of films to get through first though, like Captain America: Brave New World
Now take this with a pinch of salt as nothing is confirmed just yet, though it has been said Marvel is planning to release three films in 2028.

The first will be in February, the next in May, and the last in November, making for three opportunities where an X-Men film, or at least a set-up to the film, can be released.
This does line-up with what Kevin Feige has said about the future of the MCU following Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, as he claims once the Multiverse Saga is finished the Mutant Saga will replace it.
Deadpool & Wolverine essentially sowed the seeds for this new era, as Deadpool and the new Wolverine variant are out there in the Multiverse somewhere, probably waiting for the Secret Wars to begin.
That being said there are also rumours the MCU will be rebooted after Secret Wars, which would make sense as it’d be a better way of introducing the mutants without saying “oh they were there the whole time they just didn’t feel joining in.”

Again take all of this with a pinch of salt, as I’m sure even Kevin Feige hasn’t thought that far ahead just yet.
What we do know though is the mutants are on their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while it’s going to be a while before they get here, it’s bound to be worth the wait.
