Marvel drops first teaser for X-Men's MCU debut, featuring Thor

Marvel drops first teaser for X-Men's MCU debut, featuring Thor

What a duo

This X-Men MCU debut is going to be extremely dramatic.

We’ve received our first Marvel teaser, and we’ve got to say that it’ll be quite the spectacle to behold.

Not least of all because fan-favourite Thor will feature.

What If...? is coming back for a third season, and with its return comes a storyline for none other than Storm.

It's quite the future Marvel Studios has planned for us

Despite being a Marvel character, Storm, like so many other X-Men characters, has yet to officially join the MCU.

Fans are aware that an X-Men reboot is happening, though specifically when it’ll occur is information only Marvel knows. And it’s keeping fairly quiet on that front.

All we know for sure is that the X-Men are crucial to the future of the MCU, as explained by Marvel’s Kevin Feige.

“When we were preparing for Avengers: Endgame years ago, it was a matter of getting to the grand finale of our narrative, and then we had to start all over again after that,” they revealed.

“This time, heading into Secret Wars, we already know very well what the story is going to be up until then and after that. The X-Men are an important part of that future.”

Ergo, What If...? will set the stage nicely for more mutants to be introduced.

The new season will begin airing on 22 December, with episodes releasing in weekly instalments.

One of the episodes will star Storm, in which we’ll see the powerful character wield Mjolnir.

It’s a sort of nod to the comics, in which Storm became the Goddess of Thunder after wielding a mighty hammer (though it wasn’t Mjolnir).

But who’s playing this version of Storm?

Nothing concrete has been uncovered about the voice actor taking on the role. However, rumour has it that it’ll be X-Men ‘97’s Alison Sealy-Smith.

We look forward to this being confirmed (or not), and to see Storm finally make her way into the MCU officially.
