MCU fans lose it as iconic Marvel hero finally getting solo movie

MCU fans lose it as iconic Marvel hero finally getting solo movie

Exciting times for MCU fans

An iconic Marvel character seems to finally be getting their own solo film if this advert in Production Weekly is anything to go by.

Shown on Reddit, the advert states that Scarlet Witch will be getting a solo film of her own, due to shot in 2026.

The next Marvel 'hero' in cinemas is Venom with the final part in the trilogy

The advert appears to be genuine and given that Elizabeth Olsen recently commented on coming back as Scarlet Witch as long as there’s a story for her, this could line up.

Of course, there’s not much information aside from Kevin Feige on to produce, as normal, and Jac Schaeffer down to write it.

A short description perhaps puts this adventure as a redemption for the character given the last time we saw her she was battling it out with Doctor Strange.

As the advert says, “Notably powerful, Wanda Maximoff has fought both against and with the Avengers, attempting to hone her abilities and do what she believes is right to help the world.”

The MCU fans on Reddit are overjoyed. Elizabeth Olsen is easily one of the best performers in the Marvel movies right now.

As JamesPlayzReviews3 says, “SHE LIVES... which is really no surprise. No way are they gonna kill off the Scarlet Witch.”

Another Redditor is clearly happy with the news, “Production Weekly has not been that wrong when it comes to Marvel. Wanda has sky rocketed in popularity. I'm happy it supposedly has Jac Shaffer as a writer.”

While makashill_93 says, “A Scarlet Witch redemption movie would be good. She’s an Avenger. Avengers deserve a movie.”

With Wanda being one of the most powerful of the Avengers, it makes sense to bring her back to the side of the heroes, especially if they’re to face off against Doom in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Let’s hope we get more news soon via an official confirmation from Marvel and Disney.
