My friends, I may have just unearthed the coolest Stardew Valley mod that I have ever seen.
Owning a cosy farmstead is all well and good, but imagine if that cosy farmstead was actually a ranch dedicated to the raising of Pokémon.
Well, that’s exactly what the aptly titled ‘Pokémon Ranch’ offers.

This excellent fan-made mod is the work of NexusMods user plaidbees and as you might have already guessed, it adds a ton of Pokémon to the game.
The Pokémon simply act like any other in-game farm animals, so I’m afraid you can’t battle them but hey, who knows?
Maybe that mod is already in the works somewhere.
If you like cosy games, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a must-play.
The Pokémon are also accompanied by new shiny skins, eggs and deluxe goods.

Itching to find out which ‘mon are included?
“Rowlet, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Piplup, Turtwig, Chimchar, Pichu + evos, Mimikyu, Eeveelutions, Miltank, Wooloo, Lechonk, Vulpix, Ninetails, Minccino, Combee, Vespiquen, Solrock, Lunatone, Farfetch'd, Sunflora, Sunkern, Ditto, Magearna and Unown” all made the cut.
Each ‘mon has its own unique quirks in-game.
For example, Dittos can be found hiding in Marnie’s Ranch. If you buy a Pokémon from Marnie, you’ll have a 1% chance of getting a Ditto.

Wooloo, on the other hand, live in the barn and take five days to mature. They’ll then produce goods every two days - typically either Wooloo Wool or Wooloo eggs.
Lechonk is best known for foraging, so it’ll be a great deal of help if you need items collecting to help aid or improve your farm.
Lechonks will also live in the barn, taking five days to mature, and producing goods every three days.
There are in-depth explainers for each Pokémon available in the mod’s patch notes so I highly suggest you venture over there for a peruse.

It’s a great way to inject some new Pokémon content into your routine ahead of the launch of Pokémon Legends Z-A on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.
