No matter how many hours we have spent playing Red Dead Redemption 2, it seems as though we will never uncover everything that Rockstar hid throughout its hit title as players have recently stumbled across another easily-missed NPC.
It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released, especially as players are still enjoying the modern-day classic more than ever.

Praised for its expert storytelling, vast and detailed open-world, and incredible characters, Red Dead Redemption 2 will go down in history.

However, it has got to be Rockstar’s attention to detail that has seen players return again and again to the 2018 title as to this day, it seems as though fans are still stumbling across new features, characters and secrets.
That is definitely the case this time around as one user over on r/RDR2 recently shared a screenshot of an NPC they have only recently found despite it being their second playthrough.
“The King?” they asked. “On my second playthrough, I ran into the old weirdo out in the bush. Never saw him before. Anybody who's seen him before have any amplifying info on or about him?”
The King in question seems to be a crowned and cloaked old man sitting in a tree canopy and after some digging, it would appear that this is Poor Joe.

Found in a tree northeast of Doverhill, Poor Joe is a hermit and self-proclaimed king who will shout obscenities and even throw stones at the player if they get too close.
Additionally, if the player attempts to approach him in any way, he will scuttle back into a hole in his tree but killing him is indeed possible with molotovs.
Not much else is known about Poor Joe and as he is so hidden, he is often missed by the average player.
“Gotta say, I've played the game several times and have been on the sub for many years, and this is a first for me,” the top comment read.

User himating added, “I'm amazed how much cool stuff is packed into RDR2.”
