Since its inception, the Pokémon franchise has gone on to inspire countless games with developers wanting to get in on the monster-catching action.
Just last year, Palworld arrived on the scene and thanks to its almost-too-close likeness to Pokémon, developers Pocket Pair found itself in deep waters.
Check out the latest update for Palworld in the trailer below!
However, what it did prove was that players are eager for more of the tried-and-tested monster-catching method offered to us by The Pokémon Company so it is no surprise that yet another similar game is on the horizon.

Chronomon is an upcoming creature collector game with a farming simulator spin.
“Set in a post-apocalyptic world teeming with mysterious creatures, Chronomon combines monster taming and farm sims for a single, seamless experience,” the official synopsis reads.
“Catch them, train them, evolve them - then take the fight to the Epoch Syndicate, while uniting towns through trade, non-linear quests, and, of course, defeating the villains that threaten everyone.”
Described as “a fresh take on the Monster Taming and Farming genre”, Chronomon will task you with catching, training and evolving unique creatures whilst rebuilding a world in ruins.

Developed by Stone Golem Studios, Chronomon is very much Pokémon meets Stardew Valley as alongside growing your creature collection, you will also get the opportunity to meet locals, tend to your own farm and of course, take part in strategic battles.
Planned for a Q2 2025 release, it won’t be long before players can get their hands on this Pokémon-esque game and it is now available to add to your Steam wishlist.
With cross-save support for all devices, even including smartwatches, you can play Chronomon on the go and together with friends as you take each other on in creature battles.
Last but not least, Chronomon features over 100 creatures, 39 skill trees, 300 distinct skills and even puzzles to scratch your head over so there really is something for everyone in this upcoming 2025 release.
