Released in cinemas just last month, Deadpool & Wolverine not only starred Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles but it also welcomed back all manner of past superheroes.
From Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Channing Tatum's Gambit to Dafne Keen's X-23, the Marvel movie welcomed back old faces and introduced the new in its dive into the Multiverse.
Joining such a star-studded cast was Wesley Snipes who we all know as Blade, the vampire hunter who first appeared in the 1998 Blade movie.
As the only live-action Blade to ever star on screen, Snipes’ Blade is set to make a return in Blade (but the 2025 version not to be confused with the 1998 version).

However, with the movie being faced with multiple delays, it remains to be seen if it will ever come to fruition.
Be that as it may, it was a comment made by Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine which has fans talking.
When the makeshift gang launches an attack on enemy Cassandra Nova’s base, Wesley Snipes’ Blade makes a comment that although there will be multiple Punisher variants, there is “only one Blade”.
Although Blade then goes on to die in the attack, the ending scenes of the movie show that all is not what it seems and many of the movie’s familiar faces may be able to make an appearance in future MCU projects afterall.

Despite some fans worried that this line could mean that the 2025 Blade movie is cancelled, that has not been confirmed.
Additionally, other Marvel fans believe that this could just mean that Blade variants are in fact rare in the Multiverse, for reasons we are not yet sure of.
Either way, it is clear that the future is bright for the future of Marvel and more specifically, its Multiverse.
