Deadpool and Spider-Man are set to throw hands this February, and Deadpool will be bringing along some backup to help him even the odds - his daughter.
As revealed last night by Marvel Comics in an official press release, the two are set to tussle across four crossover issues in Deadpool #11-12 and Miles Morales: Spider-Man #30-31.
The “Pools of Blood” event was teased a while back at the start of Miles Morales: Spider-Man issue #25, when he bumps into Eleanor "Ellie" Camacho - Wade Wilson’s biological daughter.

In case it’s news to you that Deadpool has a daughter, don’t worry; it was news to him too.
Ellie was introduced way back in 2013 in Deadpool Vol 5. #19, after her mother Carmelita Camacho revealed that she’d been raising her by herself, unbeknownst to Wade, for several years.
However, it wasn’t until very recently in Deadpool Vol 10. #7 that Ellie was reintroduced.
Now fully grown and having discovered the powers associated with her newly-awakened x-gene, Ellie is following in her father’s footsteps and has been pursuing the merc lifestyle. Fans (and Wade) have taken to dubbing her “Cutie-Pool”.

So, why do both Deadpools want Miles dead? Well, someone is paying them to take him out, because Miles Morales is a vampire now.
Why is Miles Morales a vampire now? Just roll with it. I’ve not even mentioned the fact that Wade Wilson actually previously died and is being revived just for this crossover yet, there’s only so much comic book silliness we can get into.
Seems to me that Miles and Ellie will be a bit of an ongoing thing from this point onwards though, much like Peter and Wade’s frenemy-style relationship.
We’ll have to see how it all pans out in the first Pools of Blood issue, Deadpool #11, out on February 12, 2025.
