Given the huge success of Deadpool and Wolverine, which is on target to reach over $1 billion in revenue, it’s no surprise that director Shawn Levy wants to see the merc back in the MCU.
While he had a terrific outing with Wolverine, there is one other Marvel hero who often gets tangled up with Deadpool, and that’s Spider-Man.
Deadpool and Wolverine has been a huge hit for Marvel at the box-office
So, will we see the two heroes on screen together? Levy hopes so.

When asked about his dream crossover Levy replied, “The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity.”
He’s also no slouch when it comes to fight scenes and brings plenty of action-packed moments.
Levy continued, “But, boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make. I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.”
In the comics, Spider-Man often shows up when Deadpool is getting in over his head, or begins to stray from the path of good.

Their relationship is one of mutual respect, even if Wade drives Peter Parker to madness.
Having the two on screen together would be a gold mine for Marvel given the popularity of the pair.
Ryan Reynolds, the man inside the Deadpool suit, isn’t sure when he’ll be back to play the merc again but does see a future for him in the MCU.
“Honestly, right in this moment, I have no idea if I’ll ever wear that Deadpool suit again,” Reynolds said. “I hope I do, but I don’t know. Right now’s the time to just kind of hang it up for a bit and see what happens next.”

Whether Marvel has the courage to throw these two together for a film, or whether it’s just a few scenes in an upcoming Avengers film, we’ll have to wait and see.
