The 'merc with a mouth’ could be joining the Avengers in Doomsday.
Deadpool & Wolverine was a success. Even if you didn’t particularly enjoy the film, it made a lot of money for Marvel.
Naturally, due to this success, and the general love for Deadpool, fans have been wondering if the cocky merc will appear in any Avengers films.

It doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibilities.
Ryan Reynolds has now addressed those rumours, offering a tease that’s enigmatic as ever, true to form for both Reynolds and Deadpool.
Speaking of the MCU, the latest trailer for Captain America: Brave New World looks incredible
Over the course of an interview with Variety, Reynolds was asked about Deadpool appearing in one of the next big Avengers movies.

To this he said, “We’ll see what happens there. Deadpool & Wolverine wasn’t meant to be a commercial for another movie. It wasn’t meant to be any of that stuff.”
He added, “But honestly, right in this moment, I have no idea if I’ll ever wear that Deadpool suit again – I hope I do – but I don’t know. Right now’s the time to just kind of hang it up for a bit and see what happens next.”
Nothing here states that Reynolds will star in Avengers: Doomsday, yet we can’t help but be curious about whether he will.
Now that Disney and Fox have merged, it would be easy to introduce Deadpool into the trials and tribulations of the Avengers.

He’s already officially a part of the MCU now, so it feels like the next natural step.
That said, with the next two Avengers films opting for hard-hitting, emotive drama we remember the first films for, it has to be asked whether there’s a place in there for Deadpool’s comedy...?
Arguably, the fact that it would be so at odds with the rest of the characters is why it’s such a tempting notion.
Maybe Deadpool won’t ever be seen again, but it’s doubtful.

There’s no way Marvel will want to lose the momentum gained, and with two big feature films on the way, a cocksure merc would make for a thrilling surprise.
