Thanks to the wonderful (and sometimes weird) world of mods, we can breathe new life into our favourite video games on PC, and sometimes on console.
In terms of community mod support, perhaps no better franchises are as vibrant quite like Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, the latter of which is today's topic of discussion. Well, more precisely, 2015s Fallout 4.
Check out the Fallout 4 launch trailer below!
“Fallout 4 takes place in the year 2287, ten years after the events of Fallout 3 and 210 years after the Great War, a war between the United States and China over natural resources that ended in a nuclear holocaust in 2077,” reads the synopsis of the game. “The setting is a post-apocalyptic retro-future, covering a region that includes Boston and other parts of New England known as "The Commonwealth". Unlike the previous titles, Fallout 4's story begins on the day the bombs dropped: October 23, 2077.”

Created by EpicestGamer, the mod in question is ‘True Vault Escapades - A Fallout Audio Drama’ and adds 38 hours of new content to Fallout 4, and it’s available now via Nexusmods. “This mod adds 59 episodes (38 hours!) of the True Vault Escapades podcast, a 1940s-inspired radio show about two wasteland detectives who solve crimes from Texas to New Vegas in the most exciting way possible,” reads the mods description.
It description continues: “Tune in as our heroes (Walter & Bunny) with very different backgrounds meet, fall in love, and fight for justice in "True Vault Escapades"! Though the story itself is a work of my own making, I made an effort not to interfere with existing Fallout lore and work around it for a more immersive experience.”
In related news, fans of 2008’s Fallout 3 can take advantage of an awesome mod that brings a super smooth framerate and a glorious 4K resolution on Xbox. What’s more, in 2022 Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is getting a free new-gen update.

However, fans that are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Fallout 5 may be disappointed to hear that it won't be released until after the launch of The Elder Scrolls VI.
Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
