While the Fallout hype may have died down following the launch of Prime Video’s TV adaptation, plenty of us are still prowling the wasteland in Fallout 4.
We don’t have much choice given that Fallout 5 is still several years away.
Bethesda is hard at work on Starfield’s post-launch support with Shattered Space, the first of several annual story expansions, set to launch later this year.

The Elder Scrolls VI will then become the focus of the studio’s efforts before eventually, developers move on to Fallout 5.
Thankfully, Fallout’s debut on Prime Video coincided with the launch of Fallout 4’s new-gen update.
Beyond improved graphics though, the update didn’t particularly add much in the way of new content.
You can do something about changing that if you’re on PC as the ‘Outcasts and Remnants’ mod is a major free expansion that adds over 20 hours of content.

‘Outcasts and Remnants - Quest Mod Plus’ is the work of NexusMods user Thuggysmurf.
Equalling the size of a fully fledged expansion, the mod includes a new questline in addition to new locations, factions, and companions - and all of the dialogue is fully voiced.

All in all, it should take you around 20 hours to complete the mod expansion but if you download ‘Project Valkyrie’, ‘Depravity’, ‘Fusion City Rising’, and ‘50 Ways to Die at Dr. Nick’s’ which all complement the project, you could end up with over 60 hours of new content.
The mod’s quest kicks off at the B.O.G Bunker which is built into a hillside south of Oberland Station and attempts to address four unanswered questions from the base game.
I’m hesitant to delve into the full synopsis as I don’t want to spoil it for those of you who wish to go in blind, but if you’ve ever wondered how the Gunners obtained power armour and plasma weapons, or whether there were any Brotherhood of Steel members unhappy with Arthur Maxson’s appointment as Elder, this DLC could be for you.
It’s totally free for PC users to download now from NexusMods. That’s this weekend’s entertainment sorted.
