A first-person mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt totally transforms the original game into an immersive experience that puts you literally face to face with the monsters stalking the lands of the Continent.
Everyone's very excited over Reddit user onesnowcrow's first person footage, courtesy of modder crthdr, and it's a fair response owing to the way that the game's art direction still stands up after seven years. It does look like a different game but there's one that instantly springs to my mind. Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Anyone who's played Kingdom Come: Deliverance, regardless of whether they liked it or not, knows that the comparison isn't very complimentary.
This is why The Witcher 4 should star Ciri as a solo protagonist:
I'm fully expecting Triss to show up and ask for a running race. Geralt to infiltrate a monastery and have to translate holy texts rather than tracking the creature chowing down on the nearby village. Still, it looks very impressive, and literally puts you in the monster hunter's shoes, giving you a greater appreciation for the level of detail in the surroundings.

A handful of players have pointed out that the mod might be nauseating when in combat situations, as one player put it: "Geralt rolls more in a single combat encounter than a panda in its entire life". However, onesnowcrow points out that there is an option to switch off first-person perspective when Geralt crosses swords with whoever comes out of the bushes.
