The Witcher 3 mod adds brand-new ending for Ciri

The Witcher 3 mod adds brand-new ending for Ciri

We can’t get enough of Ciri!

When it comes to amazing characters that fans cannot get enough of, The Witcher series has plenty of them with Geralt of Rivia leading the way.

However, Geralt wouldn't get very far in life if it wasn't for the likes of Yennefer of Vengerberg, Triss Merigold of Maribor and the topic of today’s discussion, Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon aka Ciri in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Check out The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt trailer below!

Released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before benefiting from a glorious free new-gen update in December 2022, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of CD Projekt RED’s most critically acclaimed games with a Metacritic score of 92.

Not only does The Witcher 3 have fantastic leading characters but also interesting NPCs and a gorgeous open world of the Continent with tons of stories waiting to be discovered. It’s easy to understand why this epic action-adventure RPG is widely considered to be one of the greatest games of all time.

However, thanks to the never-ending talents of modders, new life is continually breathed into the games we love on PC and The Witcher 3 is no exception. With that in mind, as reported by DSOGaming, a modder named merigoldmaribor has restored an extended ending for Ciri that was cut from the game.

“This mod restores the extended ending that was cut off in Ciri's The Witcher 3 ending,” reads the description of the mod, available to download for free via Nexusmods.

It’s worth mentioning that there are some spoilers on the mod page but I assume that if you’re thinking of downloading the ‘Ciri Witcher Ending Restoration’ mod, then you’ve already finished the campaign of The Witcher 3 at least once.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
