It’s now 10 days to go until the release of Black Adam in cinemas. There’s a lot to be excited about, as well as the fact that we now have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a superhero (well, an antihero), there’s also rumours that Henry Cavill will be making an appearance as Superman.
We still don’t know if that’s actually true, but in an interview with CinemaBlend, The Rock has confirmed that Black Adam and Superman will “absolutely” face off at some point in the DCEU. When directly asked if he plans on making a movie where the two fight, he gave a surprisingly clear answer.
Check out the trailer for Black Adam below ahead of the movie's release on 21 October.
“Absolutely. That is the whole point of this man. Thank you for asking that. And I have been saying for some time, there's a new era in the DC Universe that's about to begin,” he told CinemaBlend, talking about how many fans were unaware of Black Adam’s existence as a character until now, and how the film would also bring the Justice Society of America to the screen.

“But also what I really meant by, ‘this is a new era in the DC Universe,’ is listening to the fans,” he continued. “Listening to the fans. And doing our best to give the fans what they want. And maybe, sometime down the road - and I went through this in pro wrestling - is you can't always give them what you want. But you'll always know that we're listening. And in this case, with what you and I are talking about, I have been listening and I've been wanting to address fans for years. Because I've been waiting for someone to step up and address the fans and say, ‘hey, we hear you.’ So finally, after many months turned into many years, we ended up with what we ended up at. And the whole goal and intention now is to this new era, new time. Now let's build out.”
