The Last of Us gameplay videos on YouTube have been hit with copyright strikes over the HBO TV series.
When you consider that The Last of Us was first released in 2013, there has been a lot of video content from creators across YouTube, Twitch and more. So, video content was rife ten years before the HBO series even arrived. However, that hasn't stopped some content creators from being hit with copyright strikes.
The Last of Us TV series is a faithful adaptation of its video game counterpart including characters, story and music, and it's the latter of which has been causing mayhem. The reason is that the video game soundtrack has been clashing with the TV series soundtrack.

At the time of writing, YouTube, HBO or Naughty Dog have not resolved the issue and it seems like it's a major error on someone’s part. As such, content creators are being forced to change the in-game soundtrack and as a result, some are even losing money due to this conflict.
As reported by PlayStation Lifestyle, one such content creator is YouTuber, Speclizer, known for The Last of Us mod videos, who has been apparently hit with 40 to 50 copyright strikes on their channel.

“Dude, I've had to either mute music or add different music. I'm telling you they updated the tracks for the show and changed the copyright system for it,” replied DomTheBomb.
Hopefully, this issue can be resolved as soon as possible because as mentioned at the top of this article, The Last of Us YouTube content has been around long before the HBO series ever arrived.

In related The Last of Us news, for some reason, viewers of the HBO series have been discussing whether or not you can eat the infected. I suppose that would garner some level of revenge on those blood-thirsty popcorn heads.
