If you're after a free game to really sink your teeth into, we might just have you covered with a gripping, gorgeous adventure that boasts a 9/10 rating on Steam.
It's no secret that PC gamers are spoiled when it comes to free games. They've definitely got those of us on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles beat. While they might have to put up with the occasionally broken launch, the sheer number of freebies thrown their way almost makes up for that. Almost.
In the last month alone there has been a hefty smattering of free games available via Steam and other storefronts. There aren't many AAA titles in the mix, but plenty of hidden gems for those of you willing to slip outside the mainstream.

Looking to scratch that Pokémon itch? Temtem might be for you. Check it out below!
While most of us are probably mentally preparing to lose our lives to games like Starfield and Baldur's Gate 3, if you reckon you can squeeze in a smaller adventure before then, there's one particularly great, low-cost option.
Developed by Alientrap, Wytchwood is described as "a crafting adventure game set in a land of gothic fables and fairytales". It also happens to be absolutely gorgeous.

Wytchwood has an overwhelmingly positive 9/10 rating on Steam, with players describing the game as "genius", "beautiful", and "whimsical". All solid adjectives in my book.
The good news is Wytchwood is currently completely free to download and keep for Amazon Prime users. All you need to do is head on over here and claim the game. This obviously only applies to PC gamers, though Wytchwood is available on other platforms if you like the look of it and want to check it out.
How long you spend with Wytchwood is down to you. Some have spent an enjoyable weekend playing through it, while others have gone much deeper and managed to get a lot out of it. Whatever you end up doing, just make sure you're ready to put it down in time for Starfield, okay?
