Xbox drops 2 free games to kick off your 2025

Kick off the year with a bang

This year is set to be another incredible one for gaming but ahead of those big AAA releases, Xbox is giving its player base the chance to play two games at no extra cost.

Giving you access to day-one titles as well as a selection of new games each month, being an Xbox Game Pass member can pay off, especially with updates dropping at any given time.

Check out the original Diablo trailer below!

That is the case for this month after Xbox revealed the arrival of two “new” games to the Game Pass.

I say new as the first title available is actually Diablo which was first released back in 1996.

Marking the first entry in the now much-loved ARPG, Diablo was developed by Blizzard back in the late 90s and was released for the very first PlayStation.

In more recent years, Diablo 4 has been released and thanks to its success, many players have wanted to experience where it all began.

Luckily, that is now possible as Diablo is free to download on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The second title available, this time via EA Play, is UFC 5.

The console and Cloud addition is a mixed martial arts fighting game published by EA Sports and was first released back in 2023.

With online and offline play, UFC 5 is EA’s most realistic fighting game yet with over 64,000 possible combinations of damage, faster animations, all-new cinematic replays and features such as Fight Week challenges.

With the removal of clunky mini-games and a focus on realism, this free-to-download fighting game is perfect for fans of the genre.

Both Diablo and UFC 5 are free on Xbox Game Pass for a limited time so don’t miss out on these very different, yet equally loved titles right now.
