There is just over a week left until Halloween and despite it falling on a weekday, that doesn’t mean that we can’t spend the witching hours playing some spooky games.
However, with games costing an arm and a leg these days, utilising that Xbox Game Pass subscription has never been more useful.
That is why I have compiled a list of ten spooky games which are available for Game Pass members.

So if that’s you, I have you covered.
First up is Inscryption which is perhaps the most unique horror game on this list.
Combining elements of a deck-building roguelike with escape-room style puzzles, this psychological horror title has maintained an overwhelmingly positive rating since it first released back in 2021.
This deeply disturbing odyssey will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

Did you know that The Evil Within 1 AND 2 are both available on Game Pass? Well now you do.
This classic survival horror series was directed by Resident Evil series creator Shinji Mikami and “embodies the meaning of pure survival horror”.
In the first game, you will take on the role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos who, alongside his partners, encounters a mysterious and powerful force.
However, after witnessing the slaughter of his fellow officers, Sebastian must fight to survive in a deranged world full of hideous creatures.
If you want to hang out with friends this Halloween, then Dead by Daylight is the one for you.
This 1v4 multiplayer survival horror game draws from all corners of the horror world by featuring some much-loved faces of the genre.
Starring Ghostface, Pyramid Head, Michael Myers and more (with the addition of some original characters), you will find yourself either taking on the role of said killer or one of the survivors.
Whichever you choose, chaos and horror is bound to ensue.
Amnesia: The Bunker is the latest entry in the much-loved Amnesia horror series and follows the story of a French soldier who finds himself trapped in a bunker.
Not only is that horrific enough but there also happens to be a monster in there too.
Less than ideal.
This first-person horror game set during World War I will see you fight to survive as a relentless, AI-driven monster hunts you at every turn.
If you are a fan of psychological horror or maybe just the Scottish accent, then Still Wakes the Deep will be the perfect choice.
Released earlier this year, the story takes place on an oil rig off the coast of Scotland during 1975.
Players will need to navigate around the now-collapsing rig as they fight to save their crew from an otherworldly horror that defies all logic and sanity.
Described as a “new horror classic”, this will be the perfect way to spend the remainder of October.
As a remake of the early 2000’s classic, Dead Space is now available on Game Pass and is perfect for those who either love the original and want a faithful remake or are new to the series as a whole.
The sci-fi horror classic tells the story of engineer Isaac Clarke who is on a mission to repair an old mining ship.
However, he soon discovers that the ship’s crew has been slaughtered and his beloved partner is nowhere to be found.
Last but certainly not least is Alice: Madness Returns.
This 2011 action-adventure game may not be classed as a horror and it may be slightly outdated but its atmospheric, and oftentimes unsettling atmosphere, makes it deserving of topping off this list.
Set in a grim reality of Victorian London, you will journey to the wonderful yet ghastly Wonderland to get to the root of Alice’s madness.
However, after the brutal death of her parents and her subsequent stay at an asylum, this much-loved title explores mental illness in a reality-bending setting.
