Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is seemingly a tale of two halves. Console players, for the most part, appear to be having a marvellous time. PC players? Not so much.
Respawn’s highly-anticipated sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order finally launched last week. In our review, we wrote, “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an exceptional sequel, improving on every gripe fans had with Fallen Order while adding countless new features that'll keep players engrossed for a long, long time. It’ll take something really special to come out to stop Survivor being the best action/adventure game of 2023.” Since launch though, PC players have been facing a myriad of bugs and glitches. One boss is completely draining players of XP. One thing that’s impressing fans though is the game’s story - and they’re agreed that a TV adaptation starring Cameron Monaghan is a no brainer.
Check out our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor below.
Jedi: Survivor’s story is undeniably one of its greatest assets, as was also the case in Fallen Order. Cameron Monaghan does a great job at bringing Cal to life and it just so happens that Monaghan also lends his likeness to the character. With that in mind, if Fallen Order was ever to get the film/TV adaptation treatment, fans are in agreement that it should star Monaghan. In fact, many believe that his live-action debut is a matter of ‘when’, not ‘if’.

Twitter user blakers37 wrote, “Seriously, I’d better see live action Cal Kestis ASAP. Cameron Monaghan is absolutely crushing this role and I want more of it,” while jekelish added, “Cal Kestis is legit one of the best characters in the entire Star Wars universe and it’ll be a goddamn shame if they never cross him over into live action.” NickTweetsALot said, “Finished Jedi: Survivor. Holy s**t, that was fantastic. One of my favourite Star Wars stories ever. Need a third game. Also get Cameron Monaghan on some live action Star Wars already.”
Last year, the rumour mill claimed that Monaghan actually was set to portray a live-action Cal. We’re yet to see that happen but given the reception to the game’s story and Monaghan himself, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up happening at some point. At least, I hope that’s the case.
