EA has confirmed that the third part in the Star Wars Jedi series, which follows Cal Kestis across the galaxy, will be the final part of the series.
The third game, which is so far untitled, will conclude Cal’s story. What this means for the future of the EA and Star Wars partnership is hard to say.
Sony recently revealed the PlayStation 5 Pro console for all the world to see
Laura Miele, the president of entertainment and technology, confirmed this as she discussed the company’s future plans during an investor day presentation.

Before dropping the announcement, Miele also revealed just how many people have been along for the ride.
“Over 40 million Star Wars fans have connected with Cal Kestis and his arc of becoming a powerful Jedi,”
Miele went on to say, “Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players.”
Without trying to read between the lines too much, it’s worth noting that Miele said “Of this thrilling story” so, perhaps the Star Wars Jedi franchise will continue while retiring Cal Kestis after the trilogy completes.

Fans have overwhelmingly welcomed both Star Wars Jedi games for telling a compelling story and including some top-notch action set pieces.
We all knew that a third part was in the works from comments made here and there across social media, however, this is the first official announcement of the series ending with the third installment.
Of course, EA has other things in the works constantly and Miele did briefly discuss their Marvel partnership while also referencing how well Star Wars has done for the company.
“We have delivered some of the highest-quality and best-selling Star Wars games of all time, with over $5 billion in net bookings. This impressive track record includes, of course, the Star Wars Jedi games.”

As of now, there is no firm release date for the closing part of the trilogy but we’re sure to get more information next year.
