Marvel fans have been patiently awaiting news on Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland and fans' wait may be over, but there’s a catch.
Spider-Man 4 may not have been officially revealed, but back in February 2023, MCU chief Kevin Feige confirmed that it was on the way. This means that Tom Holland would be the first actor to play the friendly neighbourhood hero a total of four times on the silver screen.
Unfortunately, due to the recent writers' strike, earlier this month it was revealed that the production of Spider-Man 4 was put on hold. “Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” said Sony Pictures producer Amy Pascal. “We're in the process, but [with] the writers' strike, nobody is working during the strike. We're all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we'll get started.”

Spider-Man 4 is not the only Marvel product to be impacted by the writer's strike as it joined the ranks alongside the upcoming Daredevil series on Disney Plus as well as the movie Deadpool 3.
The delay of Spider-Man 4 has resulted in Tom Holland being concerned that the movie might not ever happen. Thankfully, however, it’s not all doom and gloom, and it seems that the release window for the movie may have been revealed.
In a tweet shared by the fan Twitter account Spider-Man News, it’s been reported that Sony has confirmed that a new Marvel movie will be released in 2024, as reported by Deadline. What’s more, a second Marvel from Sony is also set to arrive in 2025.

It’s worth keeping in mind that Sony hasn't detailed which Marvel movies it will be. We do know that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is releasing in 2024, but we already knew that.
What could the two upcoming movies be? It’s probably safe to assume that 2024 would be too early at this stage for Spider-Man 4, so 2025 might be the safest bet. Deadpool 3 is also expected to be released in 2024. So could we see Venom 3 or Kraven the Hunter both be released within the next couple of years? Only time will tell.
