Spider-Man 4 could be releasing in cinemas much later than we initially thought according to new rumours.
We’re closer than ever to a fourth Spider-Man film, and by that I mean in the MCU not just in general, as Tobey Maguire almost had a fourth film before it all fell through.
In other news, who’s ready to see Tom Hardy put on the symbiote one more time in Venom: The Last Dance?
This means Marvel’s cinematic universe can now make history and actually make a fourth film happen, though given what we’ve heard about it so far it’s not sounding all that great.

For starters it’s said the film will release in-between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, spelling bad news for those who are hoping for a more grounded Spider-Man tale in the next one.
Sony had a film scheduled for 27 July 2025, which insiders claimed to be the next Spider-Man film, though now they’re saying it’s been delayed to sometime in July 2026.
This still fits in-between the two upcoming Avengers films, though it does raise the question of what’s caused the delay and how it’ll affect the finished product.
It’s been said Kevin Feige has been going back and forth with Sony on the next film, as Feige wants to tell a more grounded tale of Peter Parker living in New York City, whereas Sony wants to capitalise on the multiverse hype by bringing Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire back again.

Take all of this with a pinch of salt though as for the time being its just unsubstantiated rumour.
Of course a delay to the film isn’t the worst news we could get, it’s better than it being cancelled, though it does imply there are difficulties behind-the-scenes, probably due to Disney and Sony’s joint-control of the character in live-action.
