Fallout fans may have had their prayers answered, as a new game tease has sent them over the moon.
It’s been seven years since the last major Fallout game, and nearly a decade since the last Fallout single-player RPG, so we’re feeling the drought of new games in the franchise right now.
Despite the success of Amazon’s Fallout television series, plus the reinvigorated interest in the IP, Bethesda hasn’t announced any plans to release a new Fallout game yet.
Considering how long it takes for Bethesda to release a game (it’s been seven years since that Elder Scrolls 6 teaser, Todd), it sounds like we won’t be getting Fallout 5 for at least another decade.

Now, however, Fallout fans may have just received a tease for “multiple” new games. That’s pretty exciting, considering everything else.
According to Video Games Chronicle’s Jordan Middler, who recently appeared on the Friends Per Second podcast, multiple new Fallout games are in development.
“There are multiple Fallout projects in development, including as far as I'm aware, the one you've all been wanting,” he said. Whether that’s Fallout 5, Fallout 3 Remastered, or New Vegas 2, it’s all pure speculation at the moment.
“I'll take 5 or New Vegas 2 tbh,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “If it is New Vegas 2, I do hope Obsidian goes out of their comfort zone a bit and expands the scope beyond some of their latest projects like Avowed and Outer Worlds.”

“Hell yea can't wait to play them all in 30 years,” another wrote.
“I would love another Obsidian Fallout but New Vegas 2 sounds like when people jokingly call TES VI ‘Skyrim 2’,” another fan wrote.
“Going back to the same location would be the most uninspired choice possible and definitely not what we're all wanting.”
Hopefully Bethesda doesn’t sit on these games for too long, and that we can hear more about them very soon.
