Skyrim is without question one of the most popular video games of all time and if you want more Tamriel goodness, then you should check out this expansion.
Following in the footsteps of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Skyrim certainly had big shoes to fill but well over a decade later, Bethesda’s fantasy RPG continues to deliver. This is a good job because we all need something to keep us busy as we patiently wait for the likes of The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5.

Other than being a fantastic game in its own right and ported in every console generation since it originally launched in 2011, one of the main reasons why Skyrim continues to be popular to this very day is largely thanks to its ever-vibrant modding community.

Whether it's fixes to the infamous Bethesda bugs, graphical and gameplay overhauls or new story content, talented modders always have us covered adding new content to the video games we love.
One such mod created by DarthVitrial is Blood and Snow which is available via Bethesda’s Creation Club and best of all, it’s compatible with both PC and Xbox. Blood and Snow brings new fully voiced characters, quests, locations and much more.

“Decide the future of Skyrim’s vampires in this DLC-sized story Creation! Lead the Quarra or Cronvangr clans to victory over their rivals as a vampire, or stay mortal and help the Vigilants of Stendarr purge Skyrim of both clans,” reads the description of the mod.
There is one caveat, however, and that’s unlike many mods, Blood and Snow isn't free. Instead, it will cost you 1000 Creation Club credits which works out to be just £8.79. When you think about it, it doesn't seem all that unreasonable to pay for someone's talents and time for an expansion-sized mod.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
