Red Dead Redemption 2 player stumbles into hidden area Rockstar didn't want us to see

I can see my house from here!

A player stumbled across a stunning view of a region in Red Dead Redemption 2 that the developers did not want us to see.

To say that Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 is a massive game would be an understatement and even to this day, years after its initial release, players are still making discoveries whether it's intended for us to see or not.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer below!

In Red Dead Redemption 2, you play Arthur Morgan, a leading member of the Dutch van de Linde gang in the late 1890s. Without giving too much away, the story is about the rise and fall of the villainous group which leads to the events of the original 2010 game with John Marston.

During the opening moments of Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur and the gang escape the law following a Blackwater heist more infamously known as the “Blackwater Massacre” which leads them to Ambarino, a region inspired by the snowy Rocky Mountains.

Gamers would visit this location later in the game but a player has rediscovered this picturesque region from a viewpoint that the developers at Rockstar Games did not intend us to see.

“Pictures of the off-map region of Ambrino I took when messing with my hot air balloon spawned from a mod,” said Redditor SANSsung sharing some snazzy screenshots of Arhur’s amazing view.

Sadly, this viewpoint is only available in the PC version of the game as the console release does not have mod support, unlike some Bethesda titles.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to fly high in Red Dead Redemption 3 whenever that game is released, most likely on next-gen consoles.

As soon as news drops on the next game in the series, we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, we can look forward to GTA VI currently set to launch sometime in late 2025 and play Red Dead Redemption 2 available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
