Red Dead Redemption 2 is the home to some pretty disturbing content that is mainly only found after doing some digging around its expansive open-world map.
From the unsettling Night Folk to content that was so dark it ended up getting cut, Red Dead Redemption 2 was not afraid to dive into some of the atrocities humans are capable of.

However, as a way to not shove this kind of content down our throats, Rockstar Games has seemingly hid a lot of the most disturbing content around the world and some of it is still being discovered almost six-years on from release.

That is the case for one secret that has been revealed courtesy of a post over on r/reddeadredemption2.
The original poster wrote: “Why does this Merino have a charming pink ribbon around the neck? I found it by chance near Heartland Overflow. It was walking around peacefully, there were no events or white spots on the mini-map (I kicked him to death and ate it)."
Referring to a sheep found with a pink ribbon around its neck, players were soon quick to explore the lore behind this mysterious find and it is pretty disturbing.
“If you head down to Guthrie Farm south of there and start looking around in the sheep pens, you just might get an answer as to why,” one comment read.

At Guthrie farm, players can stumble across a dead man in a barn with his pants around his ankles. Alongside him is a dead sheep, wearing a matching pink ribbon with a wedding ring attached.
I don’t need to tell you what was going on here as you can probably guess but it seems as though this fella was a big fan of sheep. If you don’t believe me, you can take a look at the sad sight here.
“I thought I had already seen everything in this game but wow. This was new info to me,” another comment read and I can’t help but agree. Let us just hope it can’t get any worse…
