Hogwarts Legacy players have done everything the game has to offer and are now making their own adventures with made-up side quests.
There’s a lot to see and do in Hogwarts Legacy, despite many players saying the game feels “criminally empty” months after launch. Whilst the power of mods can keep PC players occupied for a while, most players have scoured the wizarding world for all it has to offer, uncovering every secret, finishing every quest and trial, and even trying to find ways to kill NPCs they don’t like. Unfortunately, once everything has been seen and completed the adventure tends to be over, unless you get creative…
That’s what one Hogwarts Legacy player did when they unexpectedly created their own side quest to complete, which involved returning some of the Hogwarts wildlife to their natural habitats.

Reddit user kunjinn shared titled “The sidiest side quest in all of side questidum” which detailed their efforts to return a beached fish to its aquatic home. They said they were exploring the forbidden forest when they discovered the fish flopping for its life on a bridge, which just didn’t sit right with the wizard.
Kunjinn said “I couldn’t interact with it in the normal way, so I tried to leviosa mr gills into the air but I couldn’t. The realization that this fish was going to die chilled my bones … I backed up, and acio’d that fish maybe half a foot.
“Again. Again. Repeated the process maybe 15 times until this dude gets to the bank of the river and…. Swims back up to shore… mr gills didn’t pass the class of logic at the university of science … I made sure that fish was well in the middle of the river before taking off. And… voila. Fish rehab.”

You have to admit, the dedication is commendable, and it seems it gave them a new calling, as they rounded off their post by simply saying “For I am MC, fish rehabilitation wizard No. 1” Fellow wizards congratulated them, with many saying they’d either done the same thing or attempted it before giving up prematurely.
It’s nice to see players are still finding the fun in Hogwarts Legacy, and if they’ve already completed their studies at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they’re more than happy to create their own adventure themselves.
