Has Pocketpair’s CEO changed their mind regarding Palworld “clones”? It would seem so given their latest comments.
It was only earlier this week that Palworld developers, Pocketpair, seemed to be annoyed at new games ripping off its content. Yet now there’s been a slight shift in perspective, with its CEO reportedly “proud” of its influence.
Palworld has had incredible highs and some bitter lows, with its player count now almost lost entirely. Still, from those ashes raises other games ready to venture into the monster catching world.

Palworld is still there, it's just too busy being proud of its influence to worry about player numbers...
In a Twitter post, Palworld's CEO Takuro Mizobe said, “I'm proud that other companies want to make games like Palworld."
“The industry historically innovates when we borrow ideas from games we love. I'm surprised that many high-quality mobile games are already in development,” they concluded.

Mizobe also wanted to make it clear that they’ve not “accused” anyone of copying content – “To ‘accuse’ someone of something, means to say they are doing something wrong. I don't think what Tencent is doing is wrong.”
It would be strange for Pocketpair to be upset by “clones” considering how unhappy it made Nintendo over the many similarities between Palworld and Pokémon.
But if so many games are going to mimic one another, where does that leave Steam’s once great title?
A recent PlayStation 5 official tease has temporarily breathed new life into Palworld, as would-be players cross their fingers in the hope the game will arrive on the platform.

There’s also news that a new mode we’ve been begging for will also be added to Palworld. All in all, the future doesn’t seem quite as bleak as the decreased Steam numbers would have you believe.
The next Palworld update is scheduled for Summer; until then, we can always entertain ourselves with other adventures if need be.
