PlayStation Plus gets a hefty price reduction, so now could be the perfect time to sign up, if you haven't done so already.
PlayStation Plus is Sony’s subscription service that is a requirement for online multiplayer, with a few exceptions such as free-to-play games including Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Apex Legends to name but a few.
The PS Plus service also offers a variety of additional games at no extra cost to subscribers. Following Sony’s revision of the service, there are currently three tiers on offer, PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra and finally, PS Plus Premium.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the basic tier which offers online gaming, a monthly offering of additional games as well as some perks such as free DLC.

PS Plus Extra offers everything included in Essential, apart from a more sizable offering of PS5 and PS4 games. Whereas PS Plus Premium offers everything included in the previous two tiers with the addition of classic games for PS1, PSP, PS2 and PS3.
The three tiers offer something for everyone whether it's the basic tier or for those that can’t get enough of classic games from yesteryear. Naturally, each tier comes at a different cost with Essential being the cheapest and Premium being the most expensive.
PS Plus Essential usually costs $9.99 monthly/$24.99 quarterly/$59.99 yearly. However, as reported by Knowtechie.com, you can get this PS Plus subscription tier at a fraction of the price in the US. Sadly, this offer is not available in other regions at the time of writing.
