PlayStation Plus users surprised with hefty price cut

We love bagging ourselves a bargain!

We’re not ones to look a gift horse in the mouth, but when something feels too good to be true, we can’t help but question it.

It seems one PlayStation Plus user is exactly the same.

Having been ready to renew their subscription, the person in question noticed that they were being given a 25 percent discount for said renewal.

Pretty standard, right?

Hi-Fi Rush is finally available on the PS5

Well, then they realised they were being offered that same discount again, seemingly bestowing them with “unlimited” discounts for PS Plus.

“I can extend it to 2026 now and so on...” their Reddit post reads, along with a screenshot to confirm their claims.

Considering the number of brilliant titles PlayStation players are getting for May’s collection of free games, now seems like an apt time to take advantage of any discounts. You know, before the service starts disappointing fans again.

Apparently, though, we needn’t be in a rush to grab these hefty price cuts; “They [Sony] let everyone. You can buy it for the next 20 years if you want,” explained someone who’s learnt to play the system and play it well.

It would seem discounts are commonplace – or are they?

Sorry to add more confusion into the mix, but other PS Plus subscribers are claiming they’ve never seen such a discount.

What is more, those same people speculate it’s because of the tier of service they pay for.

“That's not the case for having extra,” one post reads.

Another said, “Never got one either, stupidly bought monthly and been paying the full price.”

There’s a lot of conflicting information going around.

Still, when there’s even a minute chance of bagging a bargain, we’ve got to take it! If you’re fortunate enough to see the offer that the OP shared, don’t delay – enjoy saving money for the foreseeable future by buying “as many years as you want”.
