PlayStation Plus subscribers have been on a rollercoaster ride this year, to say the least, although generally speaking, I think it’s fair to say that they've had more ups than downs.
Obviously, not every month's freebies are gonna be winners for everyone (although I don’t think anyone was impressed by March’s Essential-tier offering of Battlefield 2042), we’ve had some absolute gems, particularly in the Extra tier. This month, Sony added the excellent Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to the Extra-tier library, and even if you don’t play a single other PS Plus game for the next few weeks, that addition alone makes the subscription cost worth it.
Take a look at our review for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart below.
Anyway, as PSU reports, it seems that we already know one game which might be coming to PlayStation Plus Premium in the near future. A listing for the PS1 classic Herc’s Adventures has reportedly been datamined from the PlayStation Store by PS Deals, and it seemingly reveals that the game will soon be playable on PS4 and PS5. Although it hasn’t been explicitly stated, it seems very likely that it’ll be available via PS Plus Premium’s classic game catalogue.
Advert
For those unfamiliar, Herc’s Adventures is an action-adventure title which first released in 1997, and was developed by LucasArts. You can play alone or with a friend, and take on the roles of three ancient Greek heroes of legend as they set out to save Persephone (the goddess of nature) and defeat Hades.
Herc’s Adventures was previously re-released for the PS Vita, PSP and PS3, too, so Sony is well aware how popular it is. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that it’d become playable on the company’s newer consoles, too.
Right now, Sony hasn’t confirmed that Herc’s Adventures is coming to PS Plus Premium anytime soon, and it’ll likely be several weeks before we know for sure. However, it’s looking pretty dang likely, so watch this space - June is already shaping up to be a very good month for PlayStation users.
